The Canal of Discoveries - parallel to the Road of Discoveries - lead directly into the Lake of Spain, and was bordered at right by the Plaza of the Future, which included the Pavilion of the Environment. The Ariadne rocket model (to scale) is at image front centre. The Italica Gate is at image background centre. The tower at centre right is the Banesto Tower, with its ascending and descending revolving viewing platform.
The Expo's many forms of transport - the cable car - at image left; and Canal Boat - servicing the Canal of Discoveries and the Lake of Discoveries - can also be seen.
