The Hungarian Pavilion was well known for it's goulash and other regional treats served at the Pavilion restaurant, the "Budapest," whose walls were flanked by a spectacular color photograph aerial vista of the city some 20m x 6m in dimension. An Art Gallery of Hungarian work was located beside.

At the entrance of the Pavilion was a reminder of Hungarian history - a 330kg bell - but one made of Aluminium - generally regarded as being impossible to peal. Church bells plays special significance in Hungarian culture since 1456 when the Pope decreed that church bells ring daily at noon to commemorate the victory of the Hungarians over the Turks.
